A comparative overview of research findings across the eight ACA2K study countries is now available online in an article in the 2009/10 edition of the Wits University LINK Centre's African Journal of Information and Communication (AJIC). The article, entitled "Copyright and Education in Africa: Lessons on African Copyright and Access to Knowledge", is by ACA2K Principal Investigators Tobias Schonwetter, Jeremy de Beer, Dick Kawooya and Achal Prabhala. Also in this same edition of the AJIC journal is an article by ACA2K South Africa Research Team member Pria Chetty on South Africa's new law on IPR from publicly funded research. Egypt National Policy Seminar on 14 March

The ACA2K Egypt Research Team will be hosting its National Policy Seminar on 14 March at the Fairmount Towers Hotel, Cairo. ACA2K Egypt Research Team members Dr. Bassem Awad and Dr. Perihan Abou Zeid will present their findings and representatives from the the Ministry of Culture, the Helwan Law School and the American University in Cairo will lead discussion on copyright and access to knowledge.
